SPARQ's mission is to provide athletes with the products and training programs essential to optimize their dynamic athletic potential. SPARQ is focused exclusively on the training and conditioning of competitive athletes.
Using the Fly 4.0 Speed Pack and the SPARQ Football Training Video, SPARQ established itself as an authentic source for the products and instruction athletes need to improve in each of the five basic elements of athleticism: speed, power, agility, reaction and quickness. The FLY 4.0 Speed Pack is designed as an affordable equipment package and instructional program which brings together the fundamental equipment athletes need to train on their own to improve their athletic performance. The Speed Pack also features the expert instruction of Matt James, a top SPARQ trainer, in a training video that sets a new benchmark for quality and inspiration.
SPARQ has also created the SPARQ Rating, a first-ever metric designed to capture and measure a football player's dynamic athleticism. The SPARQ rating is a unique and proprietary program that weighs and combines the basic measurements of the traditional combine: the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, vertical jump and bench press. The program generates a single number, the SPARQ rating, which captures an accurate picture of a player's overall athleticism.
Alliance Software's Role
Alliance Software was asked to develop SPARQ's new website. The website allows prospects to learn about the SPARQ rating system, and to track their own SPARQ rating using the company's rating system. We installed the VitaSite™ content management system to allow SPARQ personnel to manage the content of their new site. We also developed two custom plug-ins for their application.
The first plug-in allows visitors to enter key data about their athletic performance, and then find out their SPARQ rating. This functionality also allows SPARQ administrative users to present comparative data from ratings generated at Nike Football camps around the country.
The second plug-in is a custom ecommerce engine. Customers can purchase the performance enhancing tools shown on the site to improve their own rating. The administrative tools allow SPARQ admin users to track and manage orders, track inventory, handle phone orders, run reports, and communicate automatically with their third-party fulfillment service.
