Meharry Medical College - Alliance Software installed a
multi-site version of its VitaSite™ web content management system,
allowing the various Meharry departments to control the content of their
respective sites.
AIM Health - Alliance Software re-developed an intranet
application that AIM employees used to track their time and resources
used on various internal projects. The new system expanded an Access
database that already existed, and included a new, web-based interface
for use by the employees.
American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology - Alliance Software
designed a custom web application that allows ACOG to communicate
effectively with its member physicians in several states and two
countries. The application allows custom email communication based on
various ways of grouping physicians. The application also includes a
mechanism for sending online surveys to its members, with administrative
tools for tracking the results.
Woodmont Hills Church - Woodmont Hills needed a way for it
various ministry leaders and volunteers to manage the content of their
respective sections of the web site. Alliance Software installed a
multi-site version of its VitaSite™ content management system.
RES-XRAY News - Alliance Software designed a web-based
application that allows RES's customers to take continuing education
credit quizzes online. RES also uses Alliance Software's VitaSite™
system to manage its web site.
WSM Online & MindReactor – Alliance Software partnered with
MindReactor (www.mindreactor.com
), a division of Gish, Sherwood & Friends, to build the online
community for WSM Online (
www.wsmonline.com ). MindReactor designed the graphical front-end to
the sites, while we built a customized version of our VitaSite™ site
management system to run the back end. Now the on-air personalities are
contributing and editing content for their sections of the sites, using
the user-friendly VitaSite™ tools.
American HomePatient – American HomePatient is continuing to
expand its intranet and workflow reengineering effort. Alliance Software
is finishing up the fifth application for this project, and is about to
start a new project for another department. As an example of the work
we’re doing for them, we took an existing manual process and created a
new, much more efficient technology-based process that saved significant
time and money. The manual process required someone in the central
office to re-enter and report on data faxed in from sixty billing
centers. The new process we created eliminated all the faxing and
re-keying. Now the field office personnel enter the data in a secure
web-based interface, and the data is automatically combined and reports
generated at the central office.
iStudySmart – Alliance Software wrote the software that runs
iStudySmart.com (www.istudysmart.com
), one of the top study sites for college-level credit on the Internet. In
addition to the core online functionality, we also developed a CD-ROM
based version of their courseware.
iBelieve.com – iBelieve.com chose Alliance Software to develop
its content management and subscription tools.
Lipscomb University – Lipscomb University (
www.lipscomb.edu) asked us to help them consolidate their various campus
websites into one centrally managed system. They wanted a system that
would allow the various departments to control site content without
having to route changes through their technical staff. We installed a
customized version of our VitaSite™ multi-site content management
solution that allows Lipscomb to have as many sites as needed. Each
department can create and edit content for its site, but since the sites
are interconnected, that content can be shared across the network of
Lipscomb sites.
VF Workwear & Communication Components – Alliance Software
developed software that enables Communication Components to handle
fulfillment and inventory management functions offsite for Vanity Fair.
Our application pulls data from Vanity Fair’s legacy mainframe system,
and offers a user-friendly order entry and fulfillment interface for
manipulating that data. Vanity Fair also uses Alliance Software's
VitaSite™ system for several of its brands' web sites.
Regional Information Sharing System (RISS – US Department of Justice,
Bureau of Justice Assistance) – Alliance Software develops and
maintains an application that allows law enforcement agencies
nation-wide to share criminal intelligence data. As an example, a police
officer in Iowa could use the application to search for a gang member,
and turn up matches from a Drug Enforcement Agency database in
Washington. In addition, we have participated in an international effort
to develop an XML-based specification for interchange of criminal
justice and public safety information.
Vanderbilt University Medical Center – Alliance Software
developed an application that lets the OB/GYN department track and
report on the experience of the residents in its program. The residents
can enter experience in terminals at various hospitals. The experience
is validated and reported on in the department’s central office.
HomeSchoolCrossing - HomeSchoolCrossing.com is a web site for
homeschool families built by Alliance Software for Moore Educational

searches several online bookstores for the best price on any book in
print; Exchange, an eBay type auction; Activities & Events, a nationwide
event calendar; and Discussion Forums.
